Urdu Voice Over Artist
Urdu and Hindustani voice over for documentaries, campaigns and storytelling, with careful pronunciation and flow, recorded by Gulab Hussain in Delhi.
Gulab Hussain records Urdu and Hindustani voice over with attention to the details a native listener hears at once: the correct nuqta sounds, the right izafat, the natural rise and fall of a sentence. His news-channel background means words like these are rehearsed daily, not treated as an afterthought.
Urdu voice over he records
- Documentary and heritage narration where the Urdu has to be elegant and unhurried.
- Story and audiobook narration, from poetry-adjacent prose to modern fiction.
- Campaign, awareness and public-interest voice over aimed at Urdu-speaking audiences.
- Hindi scripts with formal Urdu vocabulary, read naturally as Hindustani.
Nastaliq or Roman script?
Send the script in Urdu (Nastaliq) wherever you can. It removes ambiguity about pronunciation. If your script is in Roman Urdu or Devanagari, include a short note for words that could be read more than one way, and mention the audience (for example Delhi, Lucknow or Hyderabad) so the register fits.
Audiences abroad
Urdu-speaking audiences in the UAE, UK, USA and Canada also commission Urdu and Hindustani voice over for community, education and business content. See the page for Dubai and the UAE.
Listen and book
The demos page includes Urdu narration. To discuss your project, send your script with the audience and deadline. An Urdu page is also available: اردو میں پڑھیں. For Hindi or English scripts, see Hindi and English voice over.
What careful Urdu sounds like
Careful Urdu is not just the right words. It is the correct stress, the proper izafat in phrases like “dil-e-nadan”, the right distinction between similar sounds such as qaf and kaf, and a flow that suits the register. A poem, a documentary and a public announcement each need a different pace and gravity, and Gulab adjusts accordingly.
Typical projects
- Heritage, history and culture documentaries.
- Campaigns and awareness films for Urdu-speaking communities.
- Story and audiobook narration.
- Corporate and community content for audiences in the Gulf and the UK.
