Planning an audiobook
A rule of thumb is that one hour of finished audio comes from roughly 9,000 words, and the recording takes more than twice that in studio time once retakes and listening back are included. A 60,000-word book is therefore about seven hours of finished audio. Gulab plans sessions in chapters, delivers each as it is finished, and keeps notes on names and voices.
